Comments
The output from an SMF-28 fiber is coupled into a buried-channel glass waveguide splitter (with a 100um coupling gap with an index matching gel). The o2 monitor traces the input channel power, and the o1 monitor traces the sum of the two output channels. The coupling efficiency from the fiber to the channel waveguide is 53%. The losses due to the splitter is 28%.
